Mr. Friedman is a Phi Beta Kappa and high honors graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and Stanford Law School. He is admitted to practice law in California, Maryland and the District of Columbia.

In addition to trial work, Mr. Friedman is a noted specialist in election law, an expertise that led to his selection as the Deputy General Counsel of the 1992 Clinton/Gore campaign.  Mr. Friedman is also the General Counsel of the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee, rated by Fortune Magazine as one of the most powerful lobbying groups in Washington, DC, the Executive Director of ConsumersCount , a national consumer rights organization dedicated to ending forced arbitration in consumer contracts and restoring the 7th Amendment’s right to trial by jury, and an  Advisory Member of the Electronic Privacy Information Center, the nation’s premier organization dedicated to internet privacy.  Outside of the law, Mr. Friedman is a principal of Carderock Investments, LLC, a real estate company focused on commercial properties in the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area,
